1. How do you do? OR How are you doing?

西方文化中，初次见面问候多数场合可以使用，如国际会议社交、学术访问及日常会面等场合。如果日常对话，美国人常讨论天气、文化和生活习惯。

For example:

Can you adjust to the weather here?

请问您能适应这里的天气吗?

The air is fresher and cleaner than that in Beijing and people in Purdue (or other universities or enterprises) are very hospitable for us.
